More Pictures Added

A few more pictures have been added to the Sailing 2021 page after a great sail today. It was almost peak high tide, and the last of the incoming current with a steady yet light wind kept ORION moving at a decent clip. I explored the left fork of the Niantic River with the intention of anchoring somewhere and putting up the awning for lunch.

At the last minute, though, I chose to drop the sails just before reaching Turkey Point and let the wind gently push ORION under bare poles up onto the beach. I tied her to a tree and enjoyed a light lunch on the beach from the stores I keep onboard.

Iā€™m not ashamed to say I used the motor to get her off the beach and into the wind so I could raise the sails. It was a pleasant beat home, and a nice way to spend a summer afternoon.
