Back in the spring, my wife and I helped my father-in-law build a shed in between our two properties. (We live on opposite sides of a family farm.) While it will have several uses during the summer season, we designed it to fit ORION during the winter. When it was first being built back in April, we backed her in just to see how she fit, and it looked great. The real test, however, would be later on following the installation of a set of stairs on one side as well as large doors that opened in, not out.
We finished building the shed this summer, and yesterday, we put ORION inside. Thankfully, there is plenty of room on all sides, although in order to open the large doors I need to swing the trailer tongue one way, open one door, then swing the tongue the other way and open the other door, but who cares? She has a fantastic home for the winter! While we have been calling it various names during the year - shed, new shed, farmstand - it is, at least from November to April, “The Boatshed.”
